ALIVE IN LONDON

Life in London circa 1968 was a treat because I shared a mansion in Fulham Palace Road with eight Brits, males and females. About 400 metres away was the Hammersmith Odeon. The best of British pop/ rock bands were regulars. We regularly debated which bands had the greatest following.

My first experience with a concert at Hammersmith was Van Morrison doing his “Inarticulate Speech of the Heart” LP. It had just gone number 1. I paid 5 pounds for my first concert ticket and sat 6 rows back from the stage. It was unforgettable and I still play the CD regularly 50 years later!
